Solvay Industrial Dismantling

Portuguese owned Solvay industries employed C&D to act as their clients’ agent and demolition project manager at their prestigious site in Warrington, Cheshire. The demolition was undertaken over 24 weeks with large diversion engineering works taking place throughout the contract.

Managing the demolition contractor JBV Demolition saw C&D have a full-time demolition engineer on-site and weekly audits from senior directors. This extremely complex demolition process was undertaken in a live site with additional petrochemical factories within the footprint of the vicinity. The demolition was completed safely, on time and to top tier COMAH regulations.

Following on from the success of the project C&D are now working with Solvay to remove one of the largest asbestos contracts on their former boiler house within the site.
